StageWorks has offered the very best theatre camp experience in Nashville since 2000. Our Musical Theatre camps give children the opportunity to work with some of the area's best professional actors, dancers, and musicians on a variety of wonderful scenes from the golden age of Broadway. If your child likes to do it all, they will LOVE this camp! Our camps are uniquely designed to keep children acting, singing, and dancing all day long. Most musicals have a few lead characters and a chorus, so rather than doing one show from start to finish, our final performance is a series of scenes from Broadway shows, all based around a common theme. Campers are cast in multiple scenes so that everyone gets the chance to be a star. At some theatre camps, children spend time making masks or props while they wait for their turn to perform. Not at StageWorks! Our staff includes a stage director, a choreographer, and a music director. While one group of campers works on a song, another group is learning a dance number, while a final group is rehearsing a scene. By working in small groups, campers get more individual attention. We limit our sessions to 25 campers, maintaining an 8:1 student/teacher ratio. And each camp session is customized to the number of children attending so that everyone gets a speaking part in every scene. Plus, all of our campers participate in 4 production numbers.
